This is a very special, one-off collectible piece, originally created for Spitfire Bird — a collaboration between Margaret O’Connor, the Fringe Festival, and Dublin City Council.
As part of the project, Margaret adorned statues across the city with bespoke headpieces. This particular piece was made for Constance Markievicz — and, of course, her loyal companion didn’t go without… a matching hat was created for the dog too.
